A working group setup by the Icelandic government has released a report about the legal framework for whaling with three possible recommendations: do nothing, modify the laws on whaling, and ban whaling. The Minister for Industry, where the whaling issue sits, is accepting comments until
May 20, 2025 at 23:59 Iceland time
Anyone can comment on the report. If you are an Icelandic resident or citizen with a kennitala (Icelandic identification number), you can use that to submit a comment through the comment portal below.
